Every meaningful update to the JaguarVPN apps and website — new features, improvements and fixes. Newest first.

  1. App & Web

    You choose before any ad loads

    • Ads on the free Android plan now ask your permission first — nothing loads until you answer, and declining is as easy as accepting.
    • You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices.
    • Paid plans stay ad-free, and the iPhone, Mac and Windows apps contain no advertising code at all.
    • The privacy policy now sets out exactly what an ad request involves and who receives the data.

    Security hardening across the platform

    • Password reset codes are now capped per account, not just per network — a burned code cannot be guessed at from a pool of addresses.
    • Stronger automated-abuse protection on sign-up and contact forms.
    • Tightened internal access to our databases and node control plane.
    • Sensitive values are no longer written to our server logs.
  3. App & Web

    Connecting on networks that block VPNs

    • A new connection mode carries your tunnel inside ordinary-looking web traffic, so it keeps working on networks that filter VPN protocols outright.
    • Locations can be moved onto it without waiting for an app update.
    • Windows builds now ship the new icon and build cleanly from a fresh checkout.

    Your language and your currency, done properly

    • The website now speaks 25 locales, including full right-to-left layouts.
    • Nine fully translated languages in the apps.
    • Money and data sizes now format the way your own region writes them, everywhere — app, website and email.
    • The price you are quoted is the price you are charged, and store purchases now follow your store account’s region.

    Every guide in one place

    • All 76 guides now live in a single managed library, so they stay current instead of drifting.
    • Articles link to genuinely related reading rather than dead ends.
    • Removed Linux from the site — there is no Linux app yet, and implying otherwise was not fair to anyone looking for one.

    Your devices, in your hands

    • A new device sheet shows everything signed in — and removing one now disconnects it there and then, instead of leaving it quietly connected.
    • A new Jaguar badge icon across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows.
    • Payment history no longer appears twice.
    • Cooler, smoother screens: idle animations stop when nothing is moving, and the speed test always reports a ping.

    Support that does more than reply

    • The help bot now completes real tasks: registering, resetting a password, resending a verification email, finding the right download, and checking whether your device is supported.
    • A chat becomes a real support ticket with a full thread — reply in the app or straight from your email.
    • Request a refund without leaving the chat.
    • Talking to a human no longer strands you; there is always a way back to the menu.

    A sign-up that fits on one screen

    • Register and sign-in rebuilt — brand panels, a sectioned form, and a password checklist that ticks off as you type.
    • The whole sign-up now fits on one screen, with no scrolling to find the button.
    • Joining the buy flow part-way through no longer breaks it.
    • Our full company and trading details are now published in the footer.

    Clear about what the VPN does

    • A plain-language disclosure now appears before your very first connection, explaining exactly what the tunnel carries and what we do with it.
    • Fixed a crash on IPv6-only and NAT64 mobile networks that stopped some carriers connecting at all.
    • Fixed crashes caused by leaving a screen while it was still updating.
    • macOS: wallet, speed test, privacy and split-tunnel icons now render properly in the .dmg build.

    Connecting on every Android device

    • Older and 32-bit Android phones could never establish a tunnel — the VPN engine was only being shipped for 64-bit chips. Now included for both.
    • A failed Stealth connection no longer poisons every attempt after it; the next tap starts clean.
    • The VPN notification now reliably appears on newer Android versions, so the tunnel is always visible and always one tap from off.
    • The app no longer shows "protected" unless the tunnel genuinely established.

    A new face for JaguarVPN.com

    • New immersive homepage: watch a real request get sealed with AES-256 live, a 10 Gbps velocity gauge, and a follow-the-packet tour of how the tunnel works.
    • New protocol pages: Aurora (everyday speed) and MIRAGE (stealth for hostile networks, now with a multi-hop explainer).
    • Seasonal sale landing pages with live countdowns, and a smarter sale banner that never hides behind the menu.
    • Sign-up now clearly links the Refund Policy alongside Terms and Privacy.

    • During a sale, starting a free trial now shows a choice: keep the trial, or pay immediately at the discounted price before the sale ends.

    • Fixed App Store plan switching — upgrades now apply immediately with correct proration.
