Law Enforcement Request Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026 · v2026-07.2 · Version 2026-06
How we respond to government/law-enforcement requests.
Effective: 2026-07-19
This policy explains how Stacklab X Ltd ("JaguarVPN") handles requests from law enforcement and government agencies.
1. Valid legal process required
We only respond to requests that are valid, lawful, and served through proper legal process in a competent jurisdiction (e.g. a UK court order or a recognised mutual legal assistance request). We reject or challenge requests that are overbroad, unlawful, or improperly served.
2. What we can (and cannot) provide
Because we operate a strict no-activity-logs policy, we do not possess browsing history, DNS queries, traffic contents, or records of which sites a user visited — so we cannot produce them, regardless of the request. We may hold limited account/billing metadata (e.g. an email address, subscription status), which we only disclose when compelled by valid legal process.
3. Emergency requests
In a genuine emergency involving a risk of death or serious physical harm, we may review a properly attested emergency request on a case-by-case basis.
4. User notice
Where legally permitted, we will make reasonable efforts to notify an affected user before disclosing their data, so they can seek to challenge the request.
5. Transparency
We record the number of requests received and our responses, and publish aggregate figures in our Transparency Report.
