Frequently asked questions

What is a WebRTC leak?+

WebRTC is a browser feature for real-time audio/video. To connect peers it can reveal your real IP address directly to a website — bypassing your VPN. That exposure is called a WebRTC leak.

Can a VPN leak my IP through WebRTC?+

Yes. Even with a VPN connected, some browser/VPN combinations let WebRTC expose your true IP. This test compares the IP WebRTC reveals with your VPN IP to detect it.

How do I stop WebRTC leaks?+

Use a VPN that blocks WebRTC leaks (JaguarVPN does), or disable WebRTC in your browser. Our apps prevent your real IP from leaking through WebRTC on every platform.

Is my data stored?+

No. The test runs live in your browser and the result is not saved anywhere.
